Nicaraguans are up with the sun and out working early during the day. The lack of formal employment has obligated many to work as street salesmen or saleswomen. Even the children help the family economy, as evidenced by this young girl, selling crabs that were surely harvested in the nearby mangrove swamps.
Los nicaragüenses se levantan con el sol y trabajan temprano durante el día. La falta de empleo formal ha obligado a muchos a trabajar como vendedores o vendedoras callejeros.
