This is the Nicaraguan version of Swiss steak.  It is affectionately called ‘bistek’ here.  Tasty with rice, salad, ripe plantain and a big glass of maracuyá (passion) fruit juice.

He aquí la versión Nica de bistek suizo.  Cariñosamente la llamamos ‘bistek’.  Sabroso junto con arroz, ensalada, plátano y un vasón de fresco de maracuyá.
