One of Nicaragua‘s traditional recipes is sopa de queso. Traditionally, some choose not to eat meat during Holy Week. However, dieting is not part of the agenda and there exists a wide variety of food specialties for Nicaraguan Holy Week. But, religious holidays aside, cheese soup is a delicious, typical meal you can have anytime…like I did last Sunday in Barrio Memorial Sandino in Managua.
