Malacatoya, Granada has to be the worst place in the world for mosquitos. I don’t know why, but it must have something to do with being surrounding by miles and miles of rice paddies or being close to Lake Nicaragua. Everything is ok during the day but from about 4 p.m. onward, it becomes unbearable. We slept with TWO mosquito nets and still ended up like this after one night…we came back with literally hundreds of mosquito bites…the kind the keep on itching….
Malacatoya, Granada tiene que ser el peor lugar en el mundo en cuanto a zancudos. No sé porque pero quizá se deba a que hay kilómetros y kilómetros de arroz sembrado o que esté algo cerca del Lago de Nicaragua. Todo va bien por la luz del día pero a partir de las 4 p.m. es inaguantable. Nosotros dormimos con dos mosquiteros y todavía amanecí así…regresamos a casa con centenares de piquetes de zancudos…el tipo que pica y pica y pica….
